Your health plan includes the support of personal health clinicians* with specialized training and clinical experience who are available to help you understand your benefits and navigate the health care system. These clinicians will help you:%u2022 Keep up with doctors%u2019 appointments and other care-related activities%u2022 Review your doctor%u2019s instructions%u2022 Coordinate your care needs after an illness, procedure or surgeryNote, a personal health clinician may reach out to you directly so if you get a call from BCBSIL, please answer it or call back later when convenient for you. In addition, you have access to Benefits Value Advisors (BVAs)**. BVAs partner with personal health clinicians to help you get the most from your health plan benefits. They can help you get costs for providers and procedures, assist with referrals, schedule appointments, set up pre-authorizations and more.
